The play with the theme of prop design and its relationship of the decorated side and the back side allows for viewpoints that question our understanding of spaceship technology and film aesthetics in the moment where other than in the actual science fiction movie the backside remains visible. Fully revealed the profane construction of the space ship provides a humorous hint to the fact that we comfortably delude ourselves on the question of fact and fiction. With his spatial intervention in the room, Stefan Eichhorn directs the attention to aesthetic, social and political specifics of our environment - and creates a subtle feeling of doubt what we believe is real or constructed.
