'Kohlvorschläge' is a project that has the character of a multiple study. An experiment in search for meaning and beauty. The work derives from the cabbage - Kohlkopf - as subject matter and as a cultural, social and narrative motif. Gamborg/ Magnussen travel with the cabbage from Copenhagen where it has been processed to Halle. Upon arrival, it will be undertaken a dissection to transcend its given form and meaning. 'Kohlvorschläge. Freund der Armen' is about proposition, poverty and the relation of the head and the hands. It sees the cabbage as an agent within an ecological system and as a geological structure leading to the consequential question of its status: whether being real and natural.
